iQIYI Manual of Account Deletion and Reactivation

You may delete your account at iQIYI International at any time. After the deletion, the content, information, data, records, and privileges under your account will be removed and cannot be restored. 

 

Account deletion means

1.    You cannot use the account to log in, access, or use the products or services at iQIYI International (hereinafter referred to as "our products").

2.    You will lose the content, information, data, and records, such as viewing records, personal information, comments, etc., under the account. We will delete or anonymize all the above-mentioned content.

3.    You will lose the unused privileges and expected rights that have been granted when using our products, and you will not be able to request a refund from us. These privileges and expected rights include but are not limited to: 

l  All types of unused VIP membership privileges, ratings, etc.;

l  The reward points and related privileges granted when using our products;

l  Various membership privileges granted when using our products;

l  Unused online services;

l  Other unused privileges or other expected rights.

4.    Certain information not restored under your account, such as the message or information you send to other users within our products, may still be visible after the deletion but will be displayed anonymously.

5.    Once your account is deleted, any relevant user agreements or other documents regarding rights and obligations that you have signed with us are terminated accordingly (except those which will remain valid upon the agreement between us or otherwise provided by laws and regulations);

6.    Once your account is deleted, the rights and obligations regarding the use of our products are dissolved. Therefore, you have no right to bring any lawsuit, arbitration, or other dispute settlement proceedings against us;

7.    Other results of iQIYI International account deletion.

Once your account is deleted, the account and the above-mentioned content cannot be restored (even if you apply for a new account at iQIYI International using the same mobile number/email address/third-party account). Therefore, we kindly remind you to make backups for the content you deem important before requesting account deletion. 

 

Conditions for account deletion

Certain conditions have to be met for the account deletion, including: 

1.    Your internet connection is secured when requesting account deletion. 

2.    The account to be deleted is legally registered at the official website of iQIYI International, and abides by iQIYI Terms of Service and relevant instructions and rules. 

3.    No automatic renewal of VIP privileges or other rights.

Notice: To protect your rights and interests, you need to cancel the subscription at the payment platform before requesting account deletion.

 

Frozen period and reactivation

1.    Once your account deletion request is submitted, your account will be frozen for 15 days during which you will not be able to log in, access, or use the account, nor register a new account at iQIYI International using the same email address/mobile number/third-party account linked to the account. However, you may click "reactivate" on our webpage to restore the account or use another email address/mobile number/third-party account to log in or register at iQIYI International. 

2.    A 15-day frozen period is a prerequisite for permanent account deletion. During the frozen period, the content, information, data, and records under your account will be frozen but not deleted. Your posts will continue to be displayed, but other users cannot access your page and profile from them.

3.    Within 15 days after submitting your account deletion request, if you change your mind, you may log in with your username and password or a verification code to reactivate it. Click on "reactivate" to terminate account deletion and restore your account. Your account will be available for use after reactivation and the content under your account will remain intact.

4.    Reactivation steps: open iQIYI International App - click "log in" - log in with your user name and password - click "reactivate".

5.    If you do not reactivate your account within 15 days after submitting the account deletion request, the account will be permanently deleted. The content, information, data, records, privileges, etc. under the account cannot be used, recovered, or restored.

 

Special reminders

1.    You may change your nickname, icon, and mobile number/email address/third-party account linked to your account, without deleting the account. Please change your user information on the relevant page. 

2.    To ensure account safety, prevent malicious deletion of your account, or infringement of your membership privileges, property, and identity rights, please log in to the account you want to delete and pass identity verification before submitting the deletion request. 

3.    After your account is permanently deleted, you can use iQIYI International products on your device with other accounts of iQIYI International. You can also register a new account of iQIYI International using the same mobile number/email address/third-party account linked to the deleted account. The new account does not inherit any account content, information, data, records, or privileges under the deleted account. 

4.    If your account is involved in dispute or controversy, such as litigation, arbitration, complaint, or reporting, we have the right to refuse your account deletion request without your permission. If such dispute or controversy occurs when your account is frozen, we have the right to terminate your account deletion process and restore your account without your permission. At the same time, you acknowledge and agree that the deletion of your account at iQIYI International does not mean your responsibility under applicable laws and regulations and relevant agreements and rules is mitigated or waived.

5.    If we have reasonable grounds to suspect or discover any violations under your account, such as fraud or acquiring account from unofficial channels, we have the right to refuse your deletion request, terminate your deletion process, or deny your registration of a new account using the same mobile number/e-mail address/third-party account linked to your account.
